Other trails include the Kinsmen Trail, the Laurentian Escarpment Conservation Area, and site trails.
(Kinsmen Trail over Chippawa Creek)
In order to plan your route, you can use BikeMap or MapMyRide, websites.
The city does not have a bicycle rental program, but you can rent a bicycle from a local store. Downtown stores include Cycle Works (593 John st), Cheapskates (274 main st. E), Fun Rentals (Memorial drive), and Wheelhouse (1055 cassells st).
By public transport
Public transportation is provided in North Bay by "North Bay Transit".
Public transit is almost more convenient than downtown cars because you don't have to find a parking space. Even though parking is relatively accessible, rush hour makes it hard to find free spaces. Public transport serves the surrounding areas quite well as well. The frequency is quite high and most of the stops are close together. The metro does not run at night, around midnight - 6 a.m., with the exception of a few bus lines.
To plan your trip, visit Google Maps, the paper bus timetables (available from the metro) or the Internet, or My Ride NBT (the official North Bay transit app / website).
