Northeastern Utah is a region which includes the counties of Dagget, Duchesne, Carbon, Emery, Uintah, and the eastern half of Summit county (east of longitude 111W).

- The 5 Uinta Mountains — peaks above 13,000 ft, most notably at 6 King's Peak , the tallest mountain in Utah, at a staggering 13,528 feet. Here you will also find the world's highest altitude long-distance hiking trail, completely above 11,000 ft, through the Ashley and Wasatch-Cache National Forests.
