- 2 Engels (Энгельс) – Engels is located on the left bank of the Volga, opposite Saratov, to which it has been connected since 1965 by the Saratov Bridge, along 3 km. The city was originally founded in 1747 by Ukrainian settlers who came to showcase this virgin region and then by Germans at the behest of Catherine II.
