Actobsk region - one of the 14 circuits in Republic of Kazakhstan. It is located in the central-western part of the country. The city is the capital of the region Aktobe. With an area of ​​300,600 square kilometers, the Actoban Oblast is the second largest administrative unit in the country (only the Caraganda Oblast is larger). It borders on the following circuits: Atyrian in the West, Mangystausian on the south-west, Caragandan on the east, Custanic in the northeast, kyzyłordiński in the southeast and West Kazakhstan in the northwest. The Ilek River, a tributary of the Urals, flows through the Aktiubin Oblast.
