Grodno region - circuit that is part of Belarus located in its north-western part at the border with Poland and Lithuania. The capital of the region is Grodno.

Geography

Grodno Oblast is situated in the north-western part of Belarus. The maximum territorial distance from the north to the south of the Grodno oblast is 247 km, and from the east to the west of the oblast is 213 km. The total territory of the oblast is 25 thousand. km². In the north-east it borders with the Vitebsk oblast, in the east with the Minsk oblast, and in the south with the Brest oblast. In the west it borders with Poland (Podlaskie Voivodeship), and in the north it borders with Lithuania (Vilnius district). The territory is mainly flat and its height is approx. 120–180 m. The circuit lies within the Niemen lowlands, the Naroczańsko-Vilnius lowlands and the Lidzka plain (up to 170 meters). The lowest point is located in the north-western part of the oblast, at the point where the Nemunas River flows into the territory of Lithuania - it is 80 m above sea level. The highest point of the circuit is Zamkowa Mountain (323 m) located in the area of ​​the Navahrudak Upland. Virtually the entire territory of the oblast belongs to the Nemunas basin and its tributaries: Gawja, Dzitwa, Uszy, Szczara and Łasośna. The Narew River - a tributary of the Vistula River - begins its course in the north-west. There is also the Augustowski Canal, connecting the Vistula and the Neman, within the oblast. There are also lakes: Lake Białe, Lake Rybnica, Świteź, Lake Świr.
