A fishing center, Oistins is very close to Barbados International Airport. There are numerous beaches around. The closest is Miami Beach, which has hotels.

Silver Sands is located at the southern end of theisland and being beaten by winds, it lends itself more to windsurfing. It is no coincidence that every year competitions of this popular sport are held here in Barbados.
