Okinawa is a city in the Japanese of the same name prefecture.

Okinawa is a chain of islands about 500 km south of the Japanese main island of Kyushu. It consists of the main island of the same name and 362 other small islands that extend up to 125 km to the Taiwanese coast. The main island of Okinawa with its capital Naha has a metropolitan character, which is mainly due to the large American military base. On the small surrounding islands, however, you will find paradisiacal sandy beaches, deserted bays and crystal clear water. It is not without reason that Okinawa is known for its wonderful diving and snorkeling opportunities.
