Southern Ostrobothnia (Etelä-Pohjanmaa or Södra Österbotten in Swedish) is a region of the Finnish west coast.
To know
Southern Ostrobothnia is truly a region with many attractions and things to do for visitors. The best known cultural event in the region is Provinssirock, the largest Finnish rock music festival, organized in Seinäjoki every June.
Among the places to visit: the Devil's Nest of Jalasjärvi, the church and the town hall of Seinäjoki designed by Alvar Aalto, and the Cave of wolves of Karijoki where traces of human presence are preserved in the region of the period preceding the last ice age.
