Oyster Pond - SMX is a city in Sint Maarten.

The border with Saint Martin runs through the middle of the Oyster Pond, which is cut deep into the land. On the north side of this bay you can also find a small place with this name. About 10 km to the north is the Orient Beach or the Baie Orientale with a large nudist beach. On the Dutch side is Dawn Beach with its fine, white sandy beach. There the Westin Dawn Beach Hotel from Columbia-Sussex was rebuilt for 120 million US dollars after a hurricane and in December 2006 the first phase of construction could be opened.

- Dawn Beach, the nearest cove from Oyster Pond with a white sand beach. There is some protection from offshore reefs. It's the best beach on St. Maarten Island for snorkeling. Since it is on the Atlantic coast, the sea can be rough, which surfers love. Early risers have the most beautiful sunrise on the island right in the sea. Hotel beach with water sports. Vacation homes are avoided in the most beautiful spot on Dawn Beach. At the north end is Mr. Busby's beach bar. At the south end was the Dawn Beach Hotel, which had been destroyed by a hurricane. Now the Westin Hotel is there.
