Palm Beach is a housing estate and the largest contiguous tourist district on the Caribbean island Aruba in the region North.

Palm Beach center is approximately six kilometers north of Oranjestad, the capital of Aruba and was popular in the 1990s through its high-rise hotels, such as Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort & Casino, Aruba Marriott Resort, Occidental Grand Aruba and Radisson Aruba Resort, Casino & Spa known. It is the only area in Aruba where skyscrapers up to 14 stories have been built. A shopping area (Palm Beach Plaza Mall) next to the hotels was opened in 2009. Palm Beach is also known for its timeshare holiday apartments (part-time ownership), which do not exist anywhere else on the island. Palm Beach is connected to the island's public transport network by various bus routes operated by Arubus.

  • Kong Fui Shopping Center is the largest shopping center on the Caribbean island. The shopping center on Hauptstrasse 3 in Palm Beach with around 4,600 m² of retail space was opened in 2010 by Minister Otmar Oduber (Departamento di Progreso Laboral). In addition to the IGA food supermarket, the center houses 30 other retail stores.

The three-kilometer-long beach of the same name is located around 1.5 kilometers east of the city center and is lined with numerous hotels from well-known chains with water sports facilities, beach bars, restaurants and shops. Together with neighboring Eagle Beach in the south, the beach was ranked seventh in the list of the best beaches in the world on Tripadvisor Travelers Choice 2013.

Sports

The beach tennis facilities in Palm Beach are known for their international competitions, which are held there for professionals and amateurs. National and international competitions take place in June and November.
