The Jaú National Park extends over thousands of square kilometers of virgin and untouched jungle. It is located in the state of Amazonas, 220 km from Manaus, covering the area between the Rio Negro, Jaú, Carabinani and Unini rivers. The displacement can be made from Manaus - River Route: By means of regional vessels that take an average of 16 to 18 hours. Several tour operators work with the route - Manaus/Jaú National Park, the pleasure boats, typical of Manaus, take around 8 hours to Novo Airão, the trip price is around 40.00 - Air Route - By means of single-engine, twin-engine seaplanes or chartered helicopters in Manaus. A seaplane takes about 1 hour to travel, twin-engine 45 minutes and helicopter 1 hour.

The entrance charged by IBAMA is R$5.50 per person/day, in addition to a fixed fee per vessel, which varies from R$16.00 to R$64.00. The authorization to visit must be obtained at the headquarters of IBAMA in Manaus.

In the Park, see or take a bath in the rapids of the Carabinani and Jaú rivers, Itaubal trail (near the Seringalzinho community), visit to archaeological sites (at the entrance of the Park, at Lake São João), historical site of Airão Velho, as well as beaches, islands, igapós and a wonderful sunset.
Traveling through the Park's waterways on a speedboat is the best way to get to know and appreciate the beauty of the region. Along the Jaú, Carabinani and Unini rivers, visitors can observe flocks of macaws and parrots flying over the igapós forest. In the quieter part, flowering orchids reflect their delicate shape in the dark waters. Extensive white sand beaches are formed on the Rio Negro - between November and January - near the mouth of the Rio Jaú.
