Privately owned, this 460 acre island off the west coast of North Caicos is located. A narrow lagoon runs parallel to the west coast. There you will find protected wetlands, mangroves on the north coast and the ruins of a plantation house in the middle of the west coast from the time when cotton was planted on Parrot Cay. between 1718 and 1720 Calico Jack and the female pirates Anne Bonny and Mary Read are said to have hid on the island. Hence they are also called Pirate Cay.
