Kalisz poviat is one of 35 counties Greater Poland Voivodeship. Situated in the south-eastern part of the voivodeship, it lies in the sphere of influence of three large urban centers: Poznan, Lodz and Wroclawwith which it has good transport, rail and bus connections.
