The Lublin Poviat is located in the Lublin Upland and covers: two landscape parks: Krzczonowski Landscape Park and Kozłowiecki Landscape Park, four Protected Landscape Areas: Chodelski, Czerniejewski, Dolina Ciemięga and Kozi Bór, as well as nature reserves: Chmiel, Las Królewski, Olszanka and Podzamcze.

Worth seeing

The Krzczonowski Landscape Park with an area of 12,420 ha and a buffer zone of 13,856 ha was established on February 26, 1990 and is the eighth largest of the 17 landscape parks in the Lublin Province. It is located in the central part of Wynioswo Giełczewska - a subregion of the Lublin Upland, about 20 km south-east of Lublin. Administratively, the park is situated in 3 communes: Krzczonów and Jabłonna.

Kozłowiecki Landscape Park was established in 1990. It covers the area of 4018.5 ha, the protection zone of the park is 9000 ha. It covers a large part of the Kozłowieckie Forests (over 90% of the park's area). The idea behind the creation of the park was the need to protect the largest forest complex in the vicinity of Lublin, with a number of natural elements similar to the natural landscape. The dense forest complex is accompanied by mid-forest meadows, ponds and marshes.

Important elements of the natural environment of the poviat are: Wysoczyzna Lubartowska, Plateau Nałęczowski, Plain Bełżyce, Kotlina Chodelska, Wzniesienia Urzędowskie, Świdnicki Plateau, Wynioslosc Giełczewska, Padół Zamojski and Roztocze Zachodnie.

An important tourist area is the Land of Loess Ravines.

There are many bicycle routes in the Lublin poviat, for example the Bicycle Land by the Greenways Amber Trail in the Lublin region.
