Lubliniec poviat - the southern poviat Polandin the northwest of the Silesian Voivodeship. The city is the seat of the poviat authorities Lubliniec.

Position

The Lubliniec district is located in the basin of the upper Liswarta and upper Mała Panew. Its territory is on the border The Silesian Lowlands and Silesian Upland. In the north-eastern part of the poviat, there is also the greater part of the "Lasy nad Górną Liswarta" Landscape Park.

History

The beginning of the poviat was the so-called districtus Lublinensiswhich was already mentioned in the fourteenth century. The poviat was established in 1990 as a result of the administrative reform of the Third Polish Republic. Until the end of the 20th century, the towns and communes of Kalety and Dobrodzień, which were separated from the Lubliniec poviat on January 1, 1999, were also within the poviat's borders.

Culture and tourism

There are several mansions, palaces and castle-palace complexes in the district: in Draliny, Kochanowice, Kochcice, Koszęcin, Lubliniec, Łagiewniki Wielkie, Panoszów, Sieraków Śląski, Wędzin and Wierzbie.

On the route of the Wooden Architecture Trail, there are the following objects:

The "Śląsk" Song and Dance Ensemble has its seat in the castle complex in Koszęcin. In the town of Cieszowa, apart from the historic church, there is also a cemetery from the 18th century.
