The monument is one of the few examples of secular works by this artist. It shows a soldier of the Polish Army and four figures standing on a pedestal in the form of a flattened cube. The base of the monument is inscribed on the front with a large inscription in three lines: FIGHTERS FOR FREEDOM, BUILDER OF PEACE, 1939-1945, above which there is a silhouette of an eagle. The monument, having an apparently secular dimension, is given a special character by hidden religious symbolism. A Latin cross was carved below the inscription.
