Puchberg am Schneeberg is a place in the south Lower Austria.

Puchberg is a climatic health resort at the foot of the Schneeberg and the starting point for excursions to the holiday destination of the Vienna Alps.
The cog railway to the Schneeberg was built in 1897. Even then, it attracted many excursion guests and vacationers to Puchberg. Emperor Franz I. has climbed the Schneeberg twice, and Kaiser Franz Joseph took the cog railway up to the Schneeberg in 1902. Also the composer Carl Ziehrer often spent his summers in Puchberg.
