  • The carrier is the Dublin Port Company
  • There are connections from and to Wales, England and the Isle of Man. There is also freight traffic.
  • Connections from Great Britain make the following lines:
    • Irish Ferries Limited offers the line Holyhead-Dublin on. There is a daily fast ferry "Dublin Swift" (2 hours journey time, for a return journey by car and two passengers around 550 EUR in the main travel time) and a standard ferry (3 hours, is around 150 EUR cheaper).

  • 1  Dublin International Airport (Aerfort Bhaile Átha Cliath, IATA: YOU B). Since bus connections are not available around the clock, except from the city center, a taxi is often the means of transport of choice for very early or very late flights.
  • The following airlines fly direct to Dublin from Germany:
    • Lufthansa (three times a day FRA)
    • Aer Lingus (twice a day FRA, once a day SXF, twice a day MUC also from DUS, HAM, VIE, SZG, ZRH)
    • Ryanair (twice a day HHN and LBC, once a day SXF, FKB, NRN)
    • Germanwings(Tue, Thu, Sat once a day CGN)
  • SWISS flies from ZRH
  • A blue Aircoach Express bus runs regularly, about every 15 minutes, to the city center and the larger hotels, almost all of which are on the south side of the city. The journey takes around 30 minutes, a one-way trip costs 7 euros, and a return trip costs 12 euros.
  • Dublin Bus offers a so-called AirLink service (lines 747 and 748), which runs every 10 minutes at peak times. Here the journey costs only 6 € and the Rambler tickets (see below) are also accepted, which makes this bus particularly attractive. In the city center, the AirLink stops on O'Connell Street and at the BUSARAS central bus station. Both points have good connections to any part of the city.
  • Regular buses stop at the airport and go to the city center for € 1.80. Unfortunately, they don't run very often and stop (as a normal bus line) at every stop, which can easily extend the journey to over an hour depending on the traffic. Important: You only accept the money appropriately, there is no change, just a receipt of what you paid too much.
  • The next train stop is Portmarnock, 10 km east of the airport, with connections to Dundalk and Dublin and on to Wicklow.
  • A taxi from the airport to the city center costs around € 20-30. Since there are also minibuses, it can be worthwhile if you are traveling in a small group and can share the fare.
  • The major car rental companies all have a counter in the central terminal. If you have booked with a smaller local company, you may have to use a (free) shuttle service to their car park, which is usually waiting at the taxi stand.
