Urban centers
- Fojnica - Near a Franciscan monastery.
- Seal - Excellent base camp for exploring the surrounding nature, but also for rafting in the wild rivers, trekking along the deep canyons, and climbing to the highest peak of the Bosnia.
- Goražde - It stands on the left bank of the Drina River north of the Sandžak Mountains.
- Lukomir - Mountain village inhabited by the last nomadic population of the country.
- Pale - University, sports and tourist center of the country. Mount Jahorina which is the major winter tourist attraction; the 1984 Winter Olympics took place here.
- Sarajevo - The capital and largest city in the country.
