Resistencia is the capital of the province of Chaco in Argentina, located in the so-called Littoral Chaqueño, near the Río Paraná. The city, which has around 400,000 inhabitants, is architecturally modern and economically rather poor.

There are two regional train lines in the province of Chaco. However, these are probably unimportant for most tourists, as they do not visit large cities. However, the route to the south is being continuously extended and the larger one is soon to be Vera to reach.
By bus
From all over Argentina it is relatively easy to get to Resistencia by bus.
In the street
From central and eastern Argentina and Paraguay, the Ruta Nacional 11 is the axis on which you can reach Resistencia. The route passes from Buenos Aires Rosario, Santa Fe and Reconquista. From northwest Argentina you take the Ruta Nacional 16, which begins in the province of Salta.
By boat

A suburban train drives from Barranqueras, the port, up Puerto Tirol in the northwest of the city and through the entire center of Resistencia.

A popular destination is the Isla del Cerrito in the Río Paraná, near the border with Paraguay. The craft market of the Barrio Toba which is west of the city and sells handicrafts made by this Indian tribe.
