Riverside is a district of the city of Singapore.
To know
Riverside is the central area of Singapore, located on the northern bank of the river that crosses it and corresponds to the area where Sir Thomas Stanford Raffles arrived at the beginning of the nineteenth century and where he founded the colony, and it is here that the government buildings are also located. The south bank, on the other hand, is characterized by skyscrapers and is home to financial institutions and large banks. In this area there is also the center of the nightlife of the city, especially in the long clubs Boat Quay, Robertson Quay is Clarke Quay.

How to get
The best way to get to Riverside is to take the MRT and get off at the stations Raffles Place is Clarke Quay. There are no convenient means on the west side of the river, in this case you have to walk or use other means such as buses or boats.
How to get around
The Esplanade / Merlion / Boat Quay area is really beautiful and ideal for a walk or a bit of jogging. During the day it can be very hot, in the evening it is cooler and breezy and you can admire the amazing skyline.
Use the Singapore River Cruises to visit the city center. They are located along the banks of the river, no reservations required and a single ride costs $ 3.
What see
The historic core of Singapore, or the colonial area founded by the British, and its historic buildings have unfortunately been almost completely lost and replaced by immense skyscrapers since the 1980s. Only a few government buildings and places of worship dating from the 19th century remain. If you are looking for that past then you should move to the island of Penang, in Malaysia.
