- California State Railroad Museum. A Dorado for railway fans, or those who want to become one. On the verge of 'Old Sacramento' It is open every day from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. except Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Day.

- Sutter's fort. Sutter's Fort, located between K and L Streets and 26th and 28th Streets, was by Johann August Sutter built in 1839. The two-story main building in Adobe-Stil was completed between 1841 and 1843 and is today the only building in this rebuilt and renovated complex that has been preserved in its original substance. The State Historic Park is open daily from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, except Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Day.
