This is the most popular seaside resort on the island. In the wide curved bay you can find all kinds of water sports, on land a large number of restaurants and shops. The elongated beach with fine, white sand has some palm trees that provide shade. It is also suitable for children. You can find several beach restaurants, bars, hotels and shops there.

The airport is located on the western outskirts. The runway is so short that only regional flights can be carried out. International flights are possible from Sint Maarten or Guadeloupe.
