Tourist Attractions

The architecture of the city is an idiosyncratic expression of the colonial style, which is dominated by wood as a building material. For example, the hospital is the only one in France that is made almost entirely of wood, and the old penal colony in the middle of the city can be visited. Next door is a visitor information center.
