Salin-de-Giraud is a small town in the Camargue in the department Bouches-du-Rhône and administratively belongs to Arles.

Salin-de-Giraud is a settlement at the bottom of the mouth of the great Rhône in the Camargue and is administratively considered a district of the city Arles.
The settlement was founded in 1856 for the workforce of the nearby saltworks "Salins du Midi" and planned on the drawing board. The workers' houses in chessboard-like streets give the settlement its own character. In addition to the salt pans - to this day, sea salt is still extracted south of the settlement - the branch of the Belgian pharmaceutical company Solvay also characterizes the townscape.
Some of the houses are now used as holiday apartments. There are few local businesses in the village to supply the local, less dense population and, above all, the numerous tourists in the summer. The beach that Plage de Piémenson is 7 km from the village. The car ferry runs across the large Rhône to the connecting road to nearby Port-Saint-Louis on the eastern bank of the Rhône Bac de Barcarin.
