In the years 1975-1998, the town administratively belonged to the then Kielce Province.
The ruins of the Józef smelter in Samsonów are the most interesting technical monuments in the old Polish industrial area. The smelter was open until 1866, when it was consumed by a fire. More serious fires also broke out in 1844 and 1848. Around 1852, the steelworks produced kitchen utensils, cylinders and anvils.

- Ruin of an industrial plant complex from the first half of the 19th century, entered in the register of immovable monuments (reg.No .: A.469 / 1-3 of 3.12.1956, of February 15, 1967, of May 4, 1987 and of May 6, 1987),

- House of the fryszerek master registration no .: A.472 of 4.05.1987),
- A stone signpost in the center of Samsonów at the intersection of Tumlin-Odrowąż-Zagnańsk roads, near the walls of the former factory. Approx. 3 m high, probably carved in the 18th century from Tumlin red sandstone. In 1995, the stone monument was moved from the periphery to the central part of the square.

- Bobrza (Świętokrzyskie Province)Remains of Blast Furnace Plants along with the adjacent workers' housing estate, built in the years 1828–1831. It was then the largest Polish ironworks with 5 blast furnaces, the construction of which was interrupted by the fall of the November Uprising. The whole was surrounded by a retaining wall about 400 m long and up to 15 m high. The ruins are still impressive today, it is necessary to see this technical monument.
