Colonia Güell
The Colònia was created from 1898 on behalf of the industrialist Eusebi Güell. It was a workers' settlement and served as a textile factory until it was closed in 1973. Although located near the Llobregat River, Güell relied on a steam engine for propulsion from the start and not from water power as in similar Colònias along the river. The Colonia was built in the style of the Modernism built, bricks were predominantly used as building material. The Colònia has been a listed building since 1990.

- 1 Güell crypt The crypt is the showpiece within the Colonia. Originally it was intended as a church for the workers' settlement, which was an architect Antoni Gaudí. He planned a lower nave, called the crypt, above which the upper nave and a tower should be built. Construction began in 1908. After the Güell family stopped building in 1914 for financial reasons, the church remained unfinished. The crypt and the portico, which had been completed by this time, have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2005.
