Slim was a Swiss Municipality in the canton Grisons.

background

The community is located north of the Vorderrhein, on the southern slope of a mountain range with the mountains Cavistrau and the Péz Tumpiv. Since the beginning of 2012 it is no longer an independent municipality a fraction of the political municipality Trun GR.

getting there

By plane

By train

The closest train station is that of Trun. From Trun a post bus line (timetable 90.471) leads to Schlans. Unfortunately, this is only an on-demand bus line (by prior arrangement Tel. 079 216 49 84) and only runs between Mon and Fri (the hiking time Schlans-Trun Bahnhof is given as 1 1 / 2h).

In the street

Unfortunately, the cantonal road Ilanz-Disentis does not go through the village. From this you can turn off in Tavanasa, here first drive at the turn-off to Breil / Brigels and below Dardin, follow the turn-off on the left to Capeder-Schlans. Or you branch off in Trun, where you turn off at the S. Onna chapel in the direction of Schlans.

Tourist Attractions

Tower and Church of Sta Maria dalla Neiv
  • The Catholic parish church of St. George, was rebuilt in 1671 using parts of the previous building. The old wall paintings were preserved on the part of the previous building. On the tower there is a holiday script and St. George's mass from the end of the 14th century, and on the western outer wall an epiphany image and a George scene in the Lobartic style (created around 1515).
  • Outside the village (still in the municipality) are the ruins of the Castle salons and des Tower of Schlans.

The area has many beautiful mountain hiking trails. The Punteglias path leads from Schlans via Alp da Schlans to the SAC Puntegliashütte, which is 2311 meters above sea level (hiking time Schlans - SAC Puntegliashütte 4 3 / 4h). For example, the Tödi is climbed from the SAC hut.
