The island rope is an island off the coast of Scotland. It belongs to the Slate Islands, in German "Schieferinseln" (slate islands), and indeed there is still a lot to remind you of the slate mining, which was once the most important industry on the islands. As the only one of the Slate Islands, rope is connected to the mainland by a bridge.

getting there
By plane
The nearest international airport is the Glasgow Airport(IATA: GLA).
By train
The nearest train station is Oban.
By bus
Several times a day there are buses to Seil from Oban.
In the street
From Oban you first follow the A816 south and then turn onto the B844, which leads to the island.
By boat
Ferries connect rope with Luing and Easdale, both of which also belong to the Slate Islands. Since these islands can usually only be reached by ferry from Seil, it is not really an option to get here.
