The island rope is an island off the coast of Scotland. It belongs to the Slate Islands, in German "Schieferinseln" (slate islands), and indeed there is still a lot to remind you of the slate mining, which was once the most important industry on the islands. As the only one of the Slate Islands, rope is connected to the mainland by a bridge.
