Serra da Estrela - mountain range in the Iberian Peninsula, the highest mountain range in the continental part Portugal, located in the north-central part of the country, is an extension of the Castilian Mountains. It is located between the valleys of the Mondego and Zêzere rivers. The highest peak of this range is Torre (Malhão da Estrêla) (1993 m above sea level).
