  • 1  Sherbrooke Village, 42 Main St. The largest open-air museum in Nova Scotia gives a vivid impression of life here around the year 1860. The complex comprises around 80 buildings, 25 of which can also be visited from the inside, including a forge, a pottery and a sawmill. Costumed volunteers explain what every house, trade or handicraft is all about. Children enjoy the numerous farm animals that are kept here. The visit takes 2 hours. in the What Cheer Tea Room of the museum you can also have lunch; the offer includes (in addition to sandwiches) regional dishes such as fishcakes, chowders and other fish dishes and is therefore much more attractive than normal museum food.Open: in summer daily 9.30 a.m. - 5 p.m.Price: Admission $ 13.75, Children 6+ $ 4.75, Seniors $ 10.75, Families $ 33.
