Son Servera is one of the 53 independent municipalities on the Spanish Balearic Island Mallorca.

Son Servera has the status of a city (Ciudad) and is at the same time the tourist center of the eastern part of the island. The tourist areas and places such as Cala Bona, Costa de los Pinos, Port Vell, Port Nou, Port Verd and Cala Millor.

In 1229 the knight Jaume Cervera received from King Jaume I, this area in the district of Llevant and founded the village. However, settlements in Son Servera have already been documented from Roman and Islamic times (123 BC to 1229 AD). The artifacts from this period were found by chance during earthworks in 2012. The archaeologists assume that the building remains found so far are not just individual buildings, but a city of considerable proportions.

In the street

From the airport on the Ma-15 in an easterly direction to (Manacor, Artá). At Sant Llorenç des Cardassar turn right onto the Ma-4030. After the arch bridge (historic aqueduct) at the entrance to Son Servera, turn right into the city center. The driving distance is around 66 kilometers.

  • Sant Antoni Abat. Festa popular; the festival is celebrated on January 17th every year in honor of Anthony. The evening before, large fires (foguerons) are lit, in the glow of which the masked people dance and sing until the early hours of the morning. Since St. Anthony is the patron saint of animals, the animal blessings, the Beneïdes, take place on the 17th after Mass.
