- Kostanjevica na Krki. On an island in the river Krka one of the oldest Slovenian cities emerged.
- Kostanjeviški Castle. There is an outdoor sculpture exhibition by the castle.
- Posavski muzej Brežice, at the Brežice Castle. Museum.

- Svete gore. On Svete gore, the holy mountains near Bistrica ob Sotli, there is one of the oldest pilgrimage centers in Slovenia with a Church of St. Mary.
