General information

Romansh is only used in parts of the Swiss Cantons Grisons spoken, whereby there are 5 dialects. These are:

• Surselvian (Surselvan)
• Sutselvian (Sutsilvan)
• Surmeir (Surmiran)
• Upper Engadin (turkey)
• Lower Engadin (Vallader)

Rumantsch Grischun (Bündner Romansh) is the official written language and the official language. That means, this article refers to Rumantsch Grischun.

• i: short as in pippe, long as in Wiege
