General information

Slovak is a very quick language. If you do not understand something, immediately say "pomalí", every Slovak will then speak more slowly and use different (more easily understandable) terms.

If you want to read something (for example a sign in a shop) because you want something, simply read the word character by character, observing the pronunciation rules. Slovak is spoken in the same way as written.
