Sárvár is a city in western Hungarian county Vas (Eisenburg) and known for the water castle from the Renaissance as well as for the extensive thermal and wellness baths.

- Nádasdy water castle. Erected in the Renaissance around 1560. In the early Middle Ages there was already a clay castle (cf. therefore the place name Sárvár or its literal translation and one of the German-language exonyms Kotenburg (Schlammburg). The Renaissance complex was later converted to Baroque style. In the state hall numerous paintings by the Viennese painter Hans Rudolf Müller, magnificent ballroom and tower room with frescoes. The complex can be visited and houses the Ferenc Nádasdy Museum.
- Arboretum (Baumgarten). Established in the 16th century with numerous native and exotic plants such as Japanese acacia and Gleditschia. Some ash and English oak are 300 to 400 years old.

At the end of the 2000s, the spa center around the thermal springs was brought up to Western European standards with EU funding. There are extensive wellness offers as well as hotels. Sárvár is a good day trip distance from Vienna.
