The South coast of Ko Samui has been largely spared from mass tourism.
background
If you are looking for nightlife and entertainment, you will not find it in the southern part of the island. The ring road runs a bit inland, villages and resorts are often hidden between coconut trees on side streets. There are also fewer shopping opportunities than in the north-west of the island, but peace and quiet and hidden bays. The beaches are more suitable for long walks than for swimming, coconut palms and smooth rock formations provide a picturesque backdrop. Here you will also find hotels with 4 or 5 stars. If you are looking for the hustle and bustle, you will be in in half an hour Chaweng or Lamai.
