Practical advice
- The language on board is German, the language of the crew is English.
- The concept on board applies: Premium all inclusive, all meals and the usual drinks are free of charge. Exception: specialty restaurants.
- TUI Cruises is aware of the fact that cruises are not considered a particularly ecological form of travel. The company is therefore - like numerous other tour operators - a member of the sustainability initiative Futouris. It remains to be seen whether this is more than just lip service to environmental protection and socio-cultural responsibility.
- Non-smoking protection: Smoking is only permitted on the balconies and in specially marked areas of the ship.
- Internet: there are several paid Internet stations on deck 6. WiFi is available on all ships in the fleet; the fee depends on the volume booked or the time required.
- Cell phone reception is only possible to a limited extent at sea; the sea-satellite connection incurs costs.
health
- There is a modern hospital on the ships for emergencies. Treatment is not free, and travel health insurance is recommended.
security
An internationally prescribed safety drill is carried out on every cruise for the first 24 hours. More details in the daily program of the ship.
