Tamarac is a city of 67,000 people (2019) in Broward County on the Florida Gold Coast of South Florida. It is a mostly residential suburb of Fort Lauderdale.
Development began in the early 1960s. The city was named after the Tamarac Country Club in nearby Oakland Park.
