Big tarchały is a large village of about 1,200 inhabitants, located in Greater Poland Voivodeshipin the middle Ostrów County and Odolanów commune.

The first mention of the village comes from 1271.

It is located approximately 9 km southwest of Ostrów Wielkopolski and is situated on a provincial road no.445 down Odolanów. A river flows at the edge of the village Barycz. It's right here railway stationwhere passenger trains on the route stop Ostrow Wielkopolski - Wroclaw.
