A cyclo ride through Ho Chi Minh Street is a great way to see the city as the locals do. The cyclo is like a rear-end tricycle, with passengers sitting in the front and peddlers driving in the back. The sights, sounds, and scents are a big part of the excitement of the city, and are best enjoyed at the comfortable pace of a cyclo. A few tips to do: be careful when carrying cameras, wallets, phones and watches while riding a cyclo as these expensive assets can easily be stolen by car thieves' gangs machine.

For various reasons, equally stressed by the government on restricting cyclo on busy urban streets, this form of transport is dying. But the current list price is 36,000 VND/hour and depending on their leisurely pace, cyclos are a good choice for getting around the city. Be sure to haggle hard with cyclo riders first. Some motorists regularly use list price 'hacking' to pickpocket passengers, another trick is used to prevent uninvited travel to places where drivers earn a commission. To avoid these problems, you must remember all to be clear about the price and time to go.
