Understand
The Thai language is analytical and tonal. Tones, complex orthography, and different phonetics make it difficult for Westerners to learn Thai. In other words, Thai is a singing language; pronounced in the throat.
Say it
Speech language speaks a woman chân both at the end of the sentence usually khâ, while a man speaks phom that the end of the sentence usually khràp.
- (Thai pronounces R softer or omits, so you often hear khap)
In speeches it would be very polite to use khràp or khâ after the sentence.
