Toledo is a city in the north of the US state Ohio, at the western end of Lake Erie.

Toledo is traditionally a center of the glass industry and is therefore known as the “Glass City”. In addition, several companies from the automotive and supplier industries are located. Since the 2000s, Toledo has been trying to reinvent itself as a pioneer of the “green” economy, especially solar energy.
