Central NSW Tourist Drive 1 is a 74-km tourist drive in the Central NSW region of New South Wales. From Toorawenah to Coonabarabran via Warrumbungle, most of the drive passes through Warrumbungle National Park. It is the westernmost tourist drive in New South Wales, and the only one west of the Newell Highway.
Understand
It is very hard to find large national parks with large amounts of forests, this far inland into Australia. The closest point to the ocean is more than 350 km away. It is also not a popular place to stay overnight but is a great drive for those who are willing to take the scenic drive on the Newell Highway.
