Trenčín is a city in the Western Slovakia and capital of Trenčiansky kraj. Trenčín Castle is one of the most important fortifications in Slovakia.

  • The second bridge over the Waag south of the center was opened on March 26, 2015, which means that the dilapidated old bridge can soon be renovated. A temporary closure of this old bridge is to be expected.

  • Summer festival Pohoda. Annually at the military airport in Biskupice since 2004. Nine different stages for all kinds of different styles: classic rock, techno, ska and reggae, heavy metal. Mostly smaller bands, but also big names interspersed. Headliners from previous years were i.a. The Prodigy, Garbage, Cardigans, Moloko, Mando Diao or Wu-Tang Clan.
