Trois-Ilets is a city in Martinique.

On the peninsula on the other side of the bay of Fort-de-France, between Anse-Mitan, Anse-Al´Ane and Trois-Ilets at Pointe-du-Bout, you will find the largest tourist center on the island with a golf course, marina and many sights . An hourly ferry service brings visitors to Fort-de-France.
The city center of Trois-Ilets was built in 1724. A Mr. Joseph Lhomme de Montigny made a piece of land available for it. He was a lawyer at the Parliament of Paris and died in Trois-Ilets on September 19, 1750.
The "Place Gabriel Hayot" around the market hall you will find the town hall, the hospital and the church "Our Lady of Good Delivery". This is the heart of the city, it is a listed building.
Anse Mitan is located 4 km northwest of Trois-Ilets on the west side of a narrow peninsula. The tip of this peninsula is the Pointe-du-Bout.
The name “Anse Mitan” is derived from the geographical location, Anse Mitan is located between the bays of “Pointe du Bout” and “l'Anse Marettes”. Because of the formerly many coconut trees on the beach, it is also known as Coconut Bay. Remains of fortifications from 1741 can still be found on one side of the bay.
The Anse Mitan is a popular destination for residents of the capital due to the good ferry connection with Fort-de-France. It is a light, unkempt sandy beach with little shade, many hotels and restaurants.
Other goals
Anse à l’Ane is located between the Pointe du Bout and the Anses d’Arlet. The name goes back to a plantation that reached down to the beach. For a long time the economic center of the peninsula was there with a rum distillery. Later it developed into a residential area, later a tourist center. There are benches and picnic tables on the beach.

In the street
From Fort-de-France via the city motorway to Lamentin. From there via Route National 5 to the Riviere-Salee exit. Trois-Ilets is 8 km away via the D 7 district road. On this road, about 4 km from Riviere-Salee, a side road turns north, it leads as a dead end to the large pottery. A little more than 1 km behind the exit of Trois-Ilets the road forks. If you go north, you come to Anse Mitan and Pointe-du-Bout. If you continue straight to the west, you come to Anse à l´Ane and Anses-D´Arlet.
