According to official data from 2011, Trinidad and Tobago had over 30 cities with a population of over 1,000. residents. The capital of the country, Port-of-Spain, is only third with nearly 40,000. inhabitants, but in the entire capital agglomeration there are over 256 thousand. people (2000). The second largest agglomeration of San Fernando is inhabited by 144 thousand. people, of which 55.4 thous. in the main city (2000). The largest city is Chaguanas, which was the only city with over 50,000 inhabitants. residents; 3 cities with a population of 25,000 ÷ 50,000 and the rest of the cities below 25,000 residents.
