The Tunisian Sahara is a region formed by the desert-like southern interior of Tunisia. In addition to sand dunes and rocky plains and oases, you will find dry salt lakes for most of the year, as well as some interesting archaeological sites.

- sufetula (Sbeitla) — a fairly well-preserved Roman city
