Tuyen Quang[1] is a province in the northeastern region of Vietnam.

Tuyen Quang is located in the center of the Lo River basin. Gam river flows through the province in the north-south direction and joins the Lo river in the northwest of Yen Son district at the border between Phuc Ninh, Thang Quan and Tan Long communes.
In the period 2005 - 2010, Tuyen Quang province had an average annual economic growth rate of over 13%, per capita income reached US$702, an increase of 2.3 times compared to 2005. [2].

Geographical location
Tuyen Quang is a mountainous province located in the Northeast region of our country, about 160 km from Hanoi to the North, the North and Northwest borders Ha Giang and Cao Bang provinces, the South borders Phu Tho and Vinh Phuc provinces, the East borders Bac Kan and Thai Nguyen provinces, the West borders Yen Bai province.
Tuyen Quang province is located in the center of the Lo and Gam river basins with a total natural area of 587,038.5 hectares, equal to 1.78% of the total area of the country, of which 70% of the area is mountainous.

Tuyen Quang's topography is quite complicated, divided by many high mountains and rivers, especially in the north of the province. In the south of the province, the terrain is lower, less fragmented, with many hills and valleys running along the rivers.

Climate
Tuyen Quang's climate is divided into 4 distinct seasons: Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter; in which the winter is dry and cold and the summer is hot, humid and rainy.
Due to the influence of topographical factors, Tuyen Quang has two climate zones with many distinct features: the Northern region has long winters, low temperatures, and more rainy summers; The southern region has a more diverse climate, shorter winters, hotter summers, and frequent thunderstorms. Thunderstorms with great intensity often cause floods lasting for many days, sometimes even flash floods, causing many losses to local people. Although the special weather and climate phenomena are rare, their impacts also have a significant impact on production and people's lives in the province.
