Unterlamm is a municipality with 1,260 inhabitants in the south-east of Styria.

In the street
- Coming from Graz or Vienna: On the A2 to the Fürstenfeld / Ilz exit. Continue in the direction of Fürstenfeld, then drive via Söchau and Übersbach and follow the signs to Unterlamm.
By bus
The only public connection that exists between Unterlamm and another city is between Unterlamm and Fehring. This bus (Styrian state railways) runs from Monday to Friday; 7:15 am, 1:30 pm, 2:30 pm and 3:00 pm.

The Lourdes grotto
Based on an idea by Pastor Franz Brei, a replica of the famous St. Mary's Grotto in Lourdes, which is unique in Styria, was built on the slope behind the Unterlamm parish church. The grotto, made of many stones weighing tons, with the wonderful statue of the Virgin, is reminiscent of the apparition of Mary in the French pilgrimage site of Lourdes in 1858.
The establishment of this spiritual center could be realized in only six months thanks to the good cooperation between church and congregation. The solemn consecration of this site took place in April 2006.
Every 11th of the month at 8 p.m. (winter time 7 p.m.) you can experience the special atmosphere of this place of prayer in a holy mass at the Marian grotto with a light procession.
Way of St. Bernadette
The path of St. Bernadette consists of 18 stations in which the Holy Mother of God appears in the grotto in front of Bernadette.
The Celtic tree calendar and natural pond system
The Celtic Tree Calendar is built on the foundations of the Celtic belief. In Unterlamm, trees have therefore been planted around the natural pond, each of which has a certain date, and people can then read off their characteristics by means of their birthdays.
